Evangelism

Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Postal Card Ministry
Send cards with spiritual direction to hospitalized, ill and recovering congregational members when needed, and to shut-ins at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Shut-in Baskets
Members of our Evangelism committee prepare gift bags from donations to our shut-in congregational members at Christmas and distribute them by other congregational members with a personal visit.

Prayer Chain
We receive requests from anyone and publish to our members to solicit prayers. Our prayer chain can be administered by e-mail, phone calls, and/or bulletin announcements. To request prayers, contact Pam M. or the office.

Library and Devotionals
St. Matthew has a library of Christian resources and reading material located in our Adult Bible Study room. These books are available for use by congregational members. We provide quarterly wwwotional books for daily reading to our friends and members free of charge. Currently we subscribe to “Portals of Prayer” and “Our Daily Bread”. Both wwwotionals can be picked up in the Narthex of the church.

Sunday Greeters
Our Evangelism team has a large team of members who greet our guests on Sunday mornings, pass out the bulletins, and make sure every guest is greeted with a smile and a blessing. We are always in need of greeters. To become a greeter, please contact Carole O.

We are grateful to everyone in our congregation for their faith and beliefs. We are truly blessed!
